We have one of our windows covered with positive expressions in an effort to keep the youth upbeat and excited about their lives, both during and away from school. Stop into the Thomas County Public Library and join us on Monday, August 14th & 21st @ 10:00 a.m. for Computer Basics. Learn how the computer works and some of the different things that can be accomplished using them. Building Resumes:  Monday, August 14th @ 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, August 16th & Friday, August 18th @10:00 a.m.
Writing Papers in WORD:  Monday, August 21st @ 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23rd & Friday, August 25th @ 10:00 a.m.

THE PROS OF THOMAS COUNTY

Stop by the TEEN area and see our new display dedicated to the NFL players of Thomas County. Read bios on players from both the Thomasville High School BULLDOGS and Thomas County Central YELLOW JACKETS. Learn a little about each of them including the colleges they attended and which NFL or Canadian League teams they have played or are playing for. We even have Mike Bobo, former Bulldog, who is the Head Coach of Colorado State University.

Are you trying to create a family tree? Lost and don't know how to begin? Stop in and see any Reference Staff member for help. The Thomas County Public Library has free access to both Ancestry Library Edition and Family Search, and can even access old copies of the Thomasville Times Enterprise. We have example trees for you to go by as well. Stop in we look forward to serving you!!!

SUMMER READING!!!

In a few weeks school will be out and................guess what? You guessed it, SUMMER READING  will be in full effect. Beginning May 30th you can bring your family in to sign to participate. There will be all sorts of prizes this year so prepare yourself. Below is the Calendar of Events for the TEENS.............check it out and hope to see you here at the THOMAS COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY!!!!

Excel 2016

Join us Wednesday, April 19th and Friday, April 20th at 10:00 am and learn about Excel and its new changes. Create spreadsheets, graphs, contact lists, etc. The classes are free and open to the public.

• Be sure to stop by the Thomas County Public Library Tuesday, April 5th or Friday, April 7th at 10am and learn how to create Address Lists, Envelopes, and Letterhead in our Mail Merge Class. 
• On Friday, April 5th Teens ages 12-17 can stop by from 3:30 to 5pm for Gamers' Club. Bring your friends in and enjoy a little friendly competition on the Xbox 360 or board games. 
• REMEMBER:   April is Poetry Month so stop by and create your own special Haiku and display it on the window in the Reference Area.
• Next week is LIBRARY WEEK:  stop in and get your FREE library card that gives you access to books, movies, and magazines!!!!
